Here in Evanston, there’s snow on the ground! However, our wedding photography up today comes from the hot weather of late June in Southern Ohio, where two wonderful ladies expressed their commitment to each other.
This past summer, Kate and Karen had a beautiful covenant ceremony in Loveland, OH at the Grailville Retreat Center. There were lovely touches of lavender and jute, and their attendants wore light purple and green. The reception tables had potted green plants in carved out books. Such a cool start to the beginning of summer. It was relaxed and fun, and the dancing at the end of the evening was held outside on a wood floor under the trees.
Since Ohio does not yet recognize same-sex marriage, Kate and Karen held a covenant ceremony. Their day was so filled with love, and I can’t wait until gay and lesbians weddings are able to be performed in every state.
I loved how family and friend-focused their ceremony was. Toward the bottom of the pictures posted here, you’ll see the “traditional” father/daughter dance, but they’re both on the dance floor with their fathers. It was so beautiful.
Here are some highlights from their ceremony.
